Don’t Let Others Dictate the Call of God on Your Life

In our walk with God, there will always be voices—well-meaning family, friends, and even strangers—trying to influence the direction of our lives. Some may offer advice, while others may discourage or even oppose the very path God has placed in your heart. But as followers of Christ, we must remember that the call of God on our lives is unique, sacred, and confirmed by Him—not by the opinions of people.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) reminds us:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”

When God speaks to your heart about your calling, that is the voice that matters most. No one else can fully understand the personal relationship you have with the Lord or the instructions He has given you. If others speak something contrary to what God has told you, their words should not hold power over your obedience.

Jesus Himself warned us about the influence of others in John 10:27 (NKJV):

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”

Notice that Jesus does not say His sheep follow the voice of the crowd, or even the voice of well-intentioned advisors. We are to follow His voice, even when it doesn’t align with the expectations of others.

The apostle Paul also experienced opposition to his calling, yet he pressed forward in obedience to God. He wrote in Galatians 1:10 (NKJV):

“For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.”

God’s call on your life may challenge you to step into the unknown, to take a leap of faith, or to pursue a path that others do not understand. But if He has spoken it, He will equip you for it. Let His voice be the compass that directs your steps.

Reflection:

Are you allowing the opinions of others to speak louder than the Word of God in your life?

Have you taken time to seek God’s confirmation through prayer and Scripture?

Will you choose obedience to His voice, even when it goes against popular opinion?

Remember, you and God are the only ones who truly know His call for your life. Trust Him, and let His Word guide your every move.

Isaiah 30:21 (NKJV) gives us this assurance:

“Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.”

Walk boldly in the call God has placed on your life, and let His voice be the final authority.

God Is Raising Up the Unknowns for the Coming Revival

In this hour, God is preparing a mighty move of His Spirit unlike anything we have seen before. This coming revival will not be led by those seeking the spotlight or chasing after the applause of men. Instead, the Lord is raising up those who are considered “no bodies” in the eyes of the world – humble servants who desire only to glorify Him.

The Bible reminds us, “But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty” (1 Corinthians 1:27, NKJV). In this revival, it will not be the famous names or popular platforms that make the difference. It will be those who have surrendered their hearts fully to the Lord, willing to go wherever He sends them and do whatever He asks.

These hidden ones are not concerned with building their own kingdoms or gaining recognition. They echo the words of John the Baptist: “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30, NKJV). Their only passion is to lift up the name of Jesus and see His glory fill the earth.

When the world overlooks them, Heaven celebrates them. Like David, who was tending sheep before he was anointed king, God is preparing His unknown warriors in the secret place. They will step into their assignments with faith and boldness, performing great exploits for the Kingdom. “The people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits” (Daniel 11:32b, NKJV).

This revival will be marked by purity, humility, and power. Those who care nothing for fame will become vessels of His glory, seeing miracles, salvations, and deliverance flow through their simple obedience. As they decrease, Christ will increase, and the world will witness the mighty hand of God moving through ordinary people.

So, if you feel hidden, overlooked, or unknown—rejoice! God is preparing you for such a time as this. Stay faithful in the secret place, for the coming revival will reveal that the true heroes of faith are those who laid down their lives for His name alone.

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.” (1 Peter 5:6, NKJV)
